Close on the heels of analyst indications that Apple may bring forth the rumored Video iPod on April 1 comes news from AppleInsider that Apple will be holding a media event some time immediately before or after the company's 30th birthday, on April 1st.

"...sources are almost certain the event will play host to a new line of 13-inch widescreen consumer iBook notebooks based on Intel microprocessors. Additional announcements such as a high-end 17-inch MacBook Pro and a high-profile iPod-related product may also be in the cards."

This event will mark the third time that Apple has summoned the media in this fashion in a little over three months.

Will this mark the debut of the rumored, widescreen Video iPod? As always, time will tell....
