Sony Ericsson has announced a pair of silver-look limited edition version of its K800 and X790 camera phones to cash in on upcoming Bond flick Casino Royale. Both are pre-loaded with a wealth - it says here - of Bond ringtones, pictures and even the movie trailer.

Both 3G camera phones sport a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, xenon flash and Sony Ericsson's multi-shot system that begins snapping before you've even pressed the shutter release. The upshot: you get nine pics from which you can select the best one.

I dunno. Bond sponsorship usedto be about slick, sexy luxury items - the kind of thing the oiks in the local fleapit could only dream of owning. Now it's mobile phones. What next, I wonder, alcopops instead of vodka martinis?

The limited edition handsets will be offered for a mere three-month period, allowing Bondage buffs and Daniel Craig fans plenty of time to snap one of them up. Casino Royale opens around the world on 17 November, the day Sony's PlayStation 3 goes on sale in the US.
