Most teenagers want an iPod for new school year, MP3 player - Mp4 Converter

Updated September 1,2006

US teenagers want notebook computers and iPods for the new school year, a survey reveals.

As many as 70 percent of 13-to-17-year-olds surveyed by ShopLocal.com want their parents to buy them a new computer for school. Many (64 per cent) want MP3 players or mobile phones.

The survey reveals Apple's control over the MP3 player category. It seems that 97 percent of US teens who want MP3 players actually want one specific music-playing device, an iPod.

ShopLocal.com surveyed 500 teenagers to uncover what equipment they hoped to take with them when they return to school.
