3D Blu-ray

The 3D juggernaut continues to gather momentum. Chip maker AMD says it will collaborate with software maker CyberLink to show off 3D content on Blu-ray at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next month.
But Sony also said it planned to release highlights from the football showpiece on Blu-ray, implying it believed 3D Blu-ray technology to be finalized in time.
And while AMD has insisted we won’t be seeing any 3D content on Blu-ray before the second-half of next year, using CES – the year’s biggest consumer technology show – to show off its potential should at least satisfy some of the demand to get a glimpse of 3D Blu-ray in action.
