Blu-Ray Disc (BD for short) is regarded as an advanced optical disc storage medium, which offers most families good opportunity to watch High-definition movies connected with their own DVD Player at home or on vacation. Traditionally, we were limited to store a-thirty-minute HD video into a common DVD, i.e, a film needs to be separated into several clips for burning with multiple DVDs. On the contrary, Blu-Ray as a new disc format has larger storage capacity, faster reading and writing speed, anti-scratch layer and more safe data storage.
Therefore, we can take advantage of the powerful BD to store HD movies or PS3 games. For example, it is a sweet experience for us to watch some funny Blu-Ray movies via our laptop or portable devices to kill time when staying at the train compartment. But, since HD formats cannot directly accepted by some portable devices, they need to be converted to other regular formats like AVI, MPEG, MP3 and etc.
